Priyanka Chopra: The word feminist has been bastardized
Bollywood and its stand on feminism has often been a territory under fire. From actresses claiming that they aren’t’ feminist, to them having the wrong definition of feminism in their dictionary, B-Town has made headlines many times. Lisa Haydon and Parineeti Chopra faced flak over their stand on feminism. Priyanka Chopra, the star of Quantico, once said that her show was not feminist. In a recent interview with a news daily the actress said she believes in woman power and is a feminist. But further says something that might upset the feminists and might throw some light on why people shy away from being called feminists these days, as well.
